"Two grieving men bond in support group and form unlikely friendship."
OUR MOVIE REVIEW:
Twinless is a toned down twist on Saltburn meets Netflix’s Dead To Me. It explores the practice of boundary crowing through the shared experience of immense guilt.
Directed by and starring James Sweeney as Dennis, he is somehow chaotic good, bad, and neutral all in the same runtime. He meets Rocky (Dylan O’Brian) at a support group for people who have lost their twins and develop a close relationship over their mutual grief.
This is far from the only film this year with an actor playing dual roles, but it’s absolutely one of the best. O’Brien demonstrates an expert level of range in his performance and the overall execution of this little romp gives me every reason to highly anticipate Sweeney’s next move in the film world.
